Quartino, Switzerland - Newave Energy Holding SA, one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of high-quality uninterruptible power supply solutions, has appointed Rainer Weigle as the Chief Sales Officer (CSO).

Rainer Weigle joins Newave as Chief Sales Officer, and brings nearly 17 years of sales and account management experience to his new role leading the global sales and marketing organization. Rainer Weigle has achieved great success as an executive in International Sales and General Management, particularly in Europe and Latin America. He has built and developed several successful national and international sales and marketing organisations and has particular expertise in the management and development of enterprise and channel sales (e.g. Business Partners, System Integrators, OEMs etc.). Additionally, he has 13 years experience of the sale of capital goods and infrastructure management software into data centres, including 9 years experience in the UPS industry with APC where he spent time with APC Germany, APC Europe and APC Latin America.

As CSO, Rainer Weigle will carry out Newave’s commercial strategy worldwide and develop effective channel strategies for each market segment and product type. “Rainer Weigle′s proven experience leading sales and marketing organizations will provide additional momentum for our world-class sales organization,” says David Bond, CEO. “We are very pleased to have him on board.”

Rainer Weigle has been chosen to fill the role immediately, and will be joining Newave SA on 1st February 2012, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer. Based at Newave SA, Quartino, Rainer will lead all of Newave’s Sales & Marketing functions including International Sales, Marketing and Product Marketing.

Rainer Weigle holds a degree in Business Engineering and a Master of Business Administration in General Management.
